Rustem Khamitov suggested developing international and interregional cooperation

UFA, 29 September 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov suggested developing international and interregional cooperation. He stated this at plenary session of the Third Small Business Forum of the SCO and BRICS Regions, which was held in Ufa.
"A large share in agricultural production in our republic is accounted for personal farmsteads, as about 40 percent of the population live in rural areas. We understand that it is hard for them to enter the market, to start working independently. But through cooperation, they, of course, can do quite different things, expand their opportunities for growth, increase sales, improve products quality, grow into strong business structures", said Rustem Khamitov. "In this regard, we need international cooperation. We should think about international or interregional cooperatives establishment, which could promote greatly agro-industrial industries. "
The head of the region noted that a hundred years ago the Russian cooperative movement was born in Siberia, where cooperators produced dairy products, which were then successfully sold. Basing on historical experience, Rustem Khamitov suggested the Governor of the Omsk Region establishing an interregional agro-industrial cooperative.
