Republican mono-cities development was discussed at Investment Picnic in Kumertau

UFA, 29 September 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. In Kumertau, an Investment Picnic was held. The forum was attended by the deputy chairman of Vnesheconombank, the head of the priority program "Integrated Development of Mono-Cities" Irina Makieva. Participants were also representatives of major Russian companies from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Naberezhnye Chelny, Orenburg, Krasnoyarsk, the Ministry of Economic Development RB.

The program of the event began with a casual business meeting, where issues of investment projects implementation within mono-cities were discussed. Sergei Novikov, the Minister of Economic Development RB, noted that the development of mono-territories was one of the priorities of the republican government. Activities in this direction were systematized in the regional priority program "Mono-cities Integrated Development in the Republic of Bashkortostan". He added that this document presented both preferences for investors themselves and measures to create comfortable conditions for residents of single-industry towns.

The program of the meeting continued with a launch of the oil extracting plant, which is a flagship investment project, a visit to the enterprises of the existing residents of "Kumertau" PDA, visit of the town-forming enterprise KumAPP, and also the objects of the "Five Steps of Improvement" program.

Then an opening ceremony of the "Vzletny" Park took place. An alley of mono-cities from 319 apple-trees was planted there according to the number of mono-profile cities in the country.
