Dollar millionaires number increases - statistics

UFA, 29 September 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. Russia is recognized as the leader in growth of dollar millionaires number, according to the World Wealth Report of the Capgemini financial company.

As reported by Izvestia, the number of Russians, whose fortune exceeds $ 1 million, is now 182 thousand people.

In 2016, this indicator was by 19.7% less, and in 2015 it decreased by 1.8%. The growth of the dollar millionaires number in Russia is attributed to the restoration of stock markets in the country.

According to RNS, a significant increase in the number of dollar millionaires is observed in Norway, the Netherlands and Indonesia - more than 13%.

The first line of the rating went to the USA, where there were 4.79 million dollar millionaires. Japan with 2.89 million millionaires took the second place, the third went to Germany with 1.28 million millionaires. Russia in the list takes the 15th line with the figure of 202 thousand people with a fortune of more than $ 1 million.

Capgemini expects that by 2025 the total state of dollar millionaires will exceed $ 100 trillion.

As reported by Bashinform News Agency, in Bashkortostan the number of ruble millionaires increased. The Directorate of the Tax Service for Bashkortostan published the final results of the declarations campaign for 2016. A total of almost 200,000 income statements were received from individuals.

About 20 thousand people stated that over the year they managed to earn from one million to 10 million rubles. At the end of 2015, the number of millionaires was significantly less - 13,000.

"From year to year, the number of declarations with revenues of over 10 million rubles increases," the press service of the Federal Tax Service for Bashkortostan added. "If in 2015, 505 taxpayers registered such income, then in 2016 there were 555 of them".
