Airfield reconstruction was completed at Ufa airport

UFA, 28 September 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Daria Petrova/. The most large-scale reconstruction of the airfield was completed at the International Airport "Ufa". Works lasted since 2014, and the volume of federal investments amounted to 7 billion rubles.

Due to the reconstruction, the airfield became one of the best in Russia in terms of its technical capabilities. The second commissioned artificial runway allows accommodating wide-bodied aircrafts with no restrictions on the number of take-offs and landings - this was made possible by increasing the load-bearing capacity of the strip by 25%. The capacity of the runway has doubled, and it can be operated practically in any weather conditions. As the General Director of the Ufa International Airport Alexander Andreev said, the commissioned facilities will provide opportunities for the airport development for the next 15-20 years.
