Priority program for mono-cities development was approved in Bashkiria
UFA, 20 September 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. The Government of Bashkiria approved the Priority Regional Program "Integrated Development of Mono-cities of the Republic" until 2025. As explained by the Ministry of Economic Development RB, the program should ensure creation of more than nine thousand jobs not related to the activities of the city-forming enterprises, and attract about 30 billion rubles of investment by the end of 2018.
The total amount of funding for this program is more than 8.5 billion rubles, including about 800 million of federal funds, 1.8 billion of regional funds. The local budget should allocate more than 120 million rubles. 5.8 billion rubles are planned to be allocated by extra-budgetary funds.
The program contains federal level instructions and local initiatives. "The Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov established key indicators of investment policy for each mono-city (single-industry town). The Government of Bashkortostan has defined measures of financial support by including the appropriate provisions in the republican state programs. As part of the preparations for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Bashkortostan, the projects of each mono-city are included in the list of jubilee projects under construction", the ministry informs.
In addition, in all single-industry towns the "Five Improvement Steps" measures are implemented. Until March 2018, it is planned to implement 24 projects for the improvement of parks, squares, reconstruction of buildings, construction of fountains.
