Bashkortostan presented investment potential at BRICS Business Forum in China

Within the framework of the Bashkortostan delegation participation in the BRICS Business Forum "Stronger Partnership for a Brighter Future" held in China, the Minister of Economic Development RB Sergey Novikov presented the economic and investment opportunities of our republic to the forum participants.

The business forum gathered over one thousand entrepreneurs. According to the Ministry of Economic Development RB, within the framework of the event program the republican delegation took part in panel sessions devoted to the cooperation areas in the financial sphere, foreign trade and international investment activities development. The Agency for Strategic Initiatives held a special session - a presentation of the investment potential of the Russian regions.

In his speech, the Minister of Economic Development dwelled on the issues of transport logistics, outlined the economic indicators and the rating positions of the region, and also announced the results of foreign economic cooperation with foreign countries, including with the PRC.

China takes the third place in the foreign trade turnover of Bashkiria, it is 396.8 million dollars. The minister spoke about state support measures for investors, implemented investment projects. Thus, with the participation of Chinese investors, ultra-light class helicopters are produced, preparations are made for the construction of a cement plant, the issue of establishing a large greenhouse complex and a tractor plant is under consideration. Sergey Novikov also mentioned the Development Corporation - an institute in charge of supporting investment projects in the republic on one-stop shop principle.
