Bashkiria foreign trade turnover amounted to almost $ 2.5 billion in first half of year

UFA, 29 August 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. Bashkiria's foreign trade turnover in the first half of the year amounted to $ 2.449 billion, a decrease of 20% compared to the same period of the last year, the Bashkortostan Customs reports.
The volume of exports decreased by 22%, of imports - grew by 1%.
The republic mainly sold mineral products (oil and distillates) for export - 65% of the total exported goods, chemical products, rubber - 18.5%, machine-building products - 10%.
In import the leading place was occupied by machine-building products - 49%; products of the chemical industry, rubber - 22.7%; metals and metal ware- 14.6%.
The foreign economic activity in this period was carried out with 114 countries. The largest export volumes were declared with Latvia - 23%, the Netherlands - 15.7%, China - 8.8%, Kazakhstan - 8.4%, Belarus - 6%. Also the list includes Finland (4.3%), Turkey (3.4%), Belgium (2.4%), Poland (2.0%), Great Britain (1.7%), Ukraine (1.7%), Algeria (1.6%), Germany (1.5%), Spain (1.4%), Lithuania (1.3%), Estonia (1.2%) and Kyrgyzstan (1.2%).
The leading importers in the region are traditionally China with a share of 19.6%, Germany - 13.8%, and Belarus - 13%. This is followed by Kazakhstan (7.9%), the United States (4.2%), Ireland (3.8%), the Czech Republic (3.8%), France (3.7%), Italy (3.1%), Netherlands (3.0%), India (2.3%), Switzerland (1.8%), Denmark (1.7%), Uzbekistan (1.5%), Kyrgyzstan (1.4%), Japan 1.4%).
"In general, the share of Bashkortostan's turnover in the foreign trade of the Volga Federal District in the first half of the year was 10%. This is the general picture of the republican foreign economic activity on the basis of declarations of Bashkir enterprises registered in the Bashkortostan Customs and other specialized customs," the department informs.
