Increase in investments in industrial safety is observed in Bashkiria

UFA, 3 August 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alfiya Agliullina/. This year investments in industrial security in Bashkortostan amounted to 6-8 billion rubles. The Minister of Nature Management and Ecology RB Ildar Khadyev informed about this at a press conference in the Bashinform News Agency. At the same time, he noted that the amount of investment of industrial enterprises was increasing every year.

"The received funds are directed both to production modernization, and to purchasing and installing of treatment facilities," the minister said.

According to the head of the department, despite positive changes in environmental safety, industrial enterprises remain the main source of environmental pollution in the republic.

Thus, industrial sector accounts for 50 percent of all pollutant emissions into the atmosphere and 95 percent of polluting discharges into the water bodies of the region.
