Rustem Khamitov commented on Eastern exit from Ufa construction agreement

UFA, 2 August 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov commented on signing an agreement on construction of the Eastern exit from Ufa.

As previously reported by Bashinform News Agency, in Istanbul the Bashkir Concession Company and Limakmarashchavtodorogi LLC, the Limak Group company (Turkey) signed an agreement for the design and construction of the Eastern exit from Ufa.

The deadline for the commissioning of the facility, including the whole complex of works on the creation of protective structures, bank protection is planned for 2025. It is by this time that the federal highways M5 and M7 will be connected through Ufa for passenger transport.

"It is meant only for passenger transport despite the fact that if there is a freight transport, the payback of this road would grow several-fold. The road will be toll. An agreement has already been reached with the banks that will participate in this project. All economic calculations are completed, financing options, the payback period are considered. A preliminary agreement has been signed with the Turkish company, which is going to build this facility, and by the end of 2017 we will have a complete view of what we will have in 2018", stressed the Head of Bashkortostan.

According to the Head of the Region, "in case of successful implementation of the project on the construction of the Eastern Exit, one more unresolved problem will remain in Ufa - a bridge construction in Internatsionalnaya Street that would connect the northern part of the city with the M5 highway. Then it will be possible to say that basically we are completing the program for the bridges construction and crossings".

"We will commission a traffic intersection near the Timashevo railway crossing and the Karaidel facility - until 2020. Until 2025 we will also put into operation and the Eastern exit from Ufa, may the bridge in Internatsionalnaya Street, too", added Rustem Khamitov.
