Sberbank payment system had failure

UFA, 31 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. This morning the Sberbank operation had a failure. Customers could not conduct transactions using bank cards and the Sberbank Online system. Users reported problems in different regions of the country.

As reported by RBC, the problems were observed in different regions of the country. Thus, in Moscow it was impossible to transfer money from a card account to a card account through the Sberbank Online system. In Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions, holders of Sberbank cards had problems with paying for goods in stores.

In Khabarovsk, many customers could not get money from ATMs and pay through terminals. At the same time Sberbank ATMs worked with cards of other banks.

Reports of problems with Sberbank were also received from Bashkortostan, Tver, Irkutsk, Amur, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Tomsk Regions, Krasnodar, Altai and Krasnoyarsk Territories.

Currently, problems have been fixed. The reasons for the failure are not reported by the bank.

According to Sberbank, the incident affected less than 10% of transactions using plastic cards.
