Ufa State Petroleum Technological University will cooperate with Houston University

UFA, 28 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. In the United States, a cooperation agreement has been signed between USPTU and Riсe University (Houston), the leading American university in the field of oil and gas industry. This is reported from Washington by «RIA Novosti».

In addition to Ufa State Petroleum Technological University, Almetyevsk Oil and Gas University (Tatarstan) and Ukhta Technical University (Komi Republic) participate in the project. The parties announced their intention to exchange students, scientific developments and conduct joint training of management personnel in the energy sector.

The trade representative of Russia in the United States, Alexander Stadnik said that "the agreement opens an opportunity for expanding international cooperation of all universities with Rice, primarily in the field of technology exchange and training of personnel in the oil and gas industry".

In turn, the representative of the Houston University Michael Moore marked that the university "positively assesses the fact of signing this agreement and hopes to conclude direct agreements on this regard with at least three other Russian oil and gas universities this fall".
