Retail trade turnover in Bashkiria exceeded 345 billion rubles

UFA, 27 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. In Bashkortostan, positive trends are developing in the consumer market; it was reported at the session of the board of the State Committee for Trade and Consumer Protection RB.

"In the first half of the year, the retail trade turnover grew by three percent to the level of the previous year and reached 345.3 billion rubles, which indicates the revival of consumer demand in the republic. And this we see after a two-year decline in turnover, "said the chairman of the State Committee, Guzel Asylova.

According to her, among the regions of Russia Bashkortostan now occupies the eighth place in terms of the absolute value of retail trade turnover and the third - in terms of growth. Currently, retail trade in the republic "is carried out at 22 thousand permanent and four thousand mobile retail facilities". The turnover of retail trade per capita amounted to 84.9 thousand rubles since the beginning of the year, or +7 percent to the level of 2016 in Bashkortostan.

The turnover of wholesale trade in the region during this time amounted to 347.9 billion rubles. This is by two percent more than in January-June 2016.

As the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Farhad Samedov said at the session, it would be necessary to develop a republican program for the development of wholesale trade. This will significantly increase the wholesale trade turnover in the region within the next five to six years.
