Bashkiria Government wrote off 69 million rubles of debt to Khimprom

UFA, 18 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. The Government of Bashkortostan has written off a multimillion-dollar tax debt of JSC Ufakhimprom in connection with its liquidation. The Arbitration Court RB adjudged the enterprise bankrupt. The resolution is published on the website of legal information. As specified in the document, the debt amount was formed from the principal debt - almost 62.5 million, almost 5 million of interest, about 1.5 million of fines.

JSC Ufahimprom produced herbicides, organochlorine compounds, epoxy resins, chemical reagents. It was one of the largest enterprises of the city, where more than two thousand people worked. In November 1989, 90 cubic meters of phenol spillage occurred at one of the sites. In March 1990, it mixed with flood waters and got into the water intake. At the beginning of the zero years the plant was closed. In 2010, a bankruptcy procedure was carried out. Now in the territory of the former "Khimprom" several dozens of small private enterprises are operating.
