UFA, 6 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. Today Ufa hosts the "Regional Track: Made in Russia" Forum. It is organized by the Russian Export Centre with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of Bashkortostan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the region.
The working program of the forum is devoted to the development of non-resource exports and search for effective ways to solve the existing problems. Representatives of government bodies, heads of business structures, as well as representatives of the public and media participate in it.
As the Minister of Economic Development of the republic Sergey Novikov noted at the forum, Bashkortostan took the leading positions in terms of export volume. Thus, at the federal level, the republic ranks eighth, among the regions of the Volga Federal District - the second.
According to the results of four months of this year, the republic increased the volume of non- resource non-energy exports by 22 percent in monetary terms. This is above the Russian average by almost eight points.
First of all, the supply of machinery and rubber products increased.
"A cooperation agreement signing with the Russian Export Centre became an important event in creating favourable conditions for the development of export activities in the republic. We hope that this year the opening of a separate representative office of the REC will take place in Ufa. One of the provisions of the agreement is making the republic a pilot region for the introduction of a regional export standard", Sergey Novikov summed up.
