Representatives of 30 regions compete for victory at Russian Plowing Championship in Bashkiria

UFA, 30 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. 46 experienced machine operators from 30 Russian regions are fighting for the victory in the Russian Plowing Championship, opened today in the Ufa District of Bashkortostan.

The Republic of Bashkortostan is represented by a team of five people: Aliya Yakupova, Gulnaz Yakupova (students of Bashkir State Agrarian University), Guliya Isyandavletova (Trans-Urals Agro-Industrial College), Ildar Ishikayev from Ashkadar Coal Company of Meleuz District and Rimir Gizatullin from the Agrofirm Salavat LLC, Sterlitamak District.

Since the beginning of this week, every day there have been qualifying rounds, which participants were determined in the draw. Each of them adjusted their tractors "Agromash-85 TK", equipped with special double-hull reverse plows Kverneland.

As stressed by the General Secretary of the European Plowing Organization (Netherlands), Mart Bakker, "after plowing the land should remain flat, straight and nice".

Total, there are 10 different disciplines within the championship-2017, after each all plowmen will receive points. And then on the sum of these disciplines, the best ones will be revealed, whose names will be announced on July 1.

As noted by the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkortostan, an event of this level is held in the republic for the first time. Preparation for it began already last year - immediately after the decision to hold the 6th Open Russian Plowing Championship in Bashkortostan.

In the spring, in the Ufa region, experimental crops of 60 varieties and hybrids of 20 agricultural crops were planted: using mineral fertilizers and plant protection products (chemical and biological) of various types, and doses, with sprinkling and without.

In addition to the plowing competitions, an open plowing cup will take place, in which machine operators from foreign countries will be able to take part, competitions in tractor driving skills ("Tractor show"), and the final of the republican contest of tractor-drivers will be held.
