Bashkortostan is in Top 5 regions of Russia for poultry meat production

UFA, 29 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. Bashkortostan continues to hold the leading positions in the production of poultry meat. Among the best regions of the country, which provided an increase in poultry meat production in agricultural organizations, Tambov, Belgorod, Tula and Stavropol Territories also appear.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, in January-May of this year, the production of poultry for slaughter in live weight in agricultural organizations was 2.51 million tons. This is 5.4 percent more than the last year's figure.

The Tyumen, Yaroslavl, Rostov, Tula, Lipetsk regions and the Krasnodar Territory became leaders on increasing production of eggs in Russia. Total in the country, during the first five months of this year, 14.6 billion eggs were produced in agricultural organizations. This is 3.1 percent more than a year ago.
