Almost 500 thousand Bashkortostan residents participate in proactive allocation of funds

UFA, 29 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. Local initiatives projects covered the whole republic this year. More than 450 thousand residents in all cities and regions of Bashkortostan took part in the proactive allocation of funds, said the Prime Minister of the Government of the region Rustem Mardanov.

"The residents set priorities by themselves, voluntarily co-financed the selected projects and monitored the effectiveness of the entire process", he said at a meeting in the Government.

At the meeting participants noted that for over two years of the local initiatives support project, the priorities of the population had not changed. They still include road projects, improvement of parks, squares, playgrounds, water supply issues, as well as development of culture and preservation of cultural heritage.

The scale of local initiatives this year has significantly expanded. Thus, Ufa received about 200 million rubles from the republican budget for the program of urban yards improvement. And a significant part or two-thirds of this amount were directed to the improvement of the yards in Chernikovka district.

Currently, the issue of replicating the Ufa pilot project to other cities of Bashkortostan is discussed, the press service of the republican Government reports.
