Bashkortostan received more than 20 billion dividends for incomplete two years of Bashneft’s stake ownership - Rustem Khamitov

The republic has already received more than 20 billion rubles in dividends and charity for the incomplete two years of holding a 25-percent stake plus one share. This was stated by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov, answering a question about his stance regarding the sale of the regional stake in Bashneft in his interview with Rossiya 24 TV channel.

Rustem Khamitov stressed that by the end of 2017 this figure would reach 30 billion rubles, "these are huge resources due to which we were able to solve a significant number of issues in the republic".

"I can say that it is of fundamental importance for us: a) to preserve this stake; b) to continue productive and serious cooperation with Rosneft, while assisting Bashneft to gain new positions in petrochemicals, gas chemistry, refining, environmental protection", said the Head of the Region.

Rustem Khamitov believes that a long-term work is possible in this direction and "I am sure that the work in this format will be the most favourable and fruitful, including for Rosneft, Bashneft and the Republic of Bashkortostan, its residents, because today they really feel the support of such partners".
