Industrial production index amounted to 106.5% in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, the index of industrial production (IPI) in May was 106.5% compared to May of the last year, for January-May - 103.4% compared to January-May 2016, the Bashkortostan Statistics Agency informs. The average Russian indicator: 105.6% by May 2016, in January-May - 101.7% compared to January-May of the previous year. In the regions of the Volga Federal District, the IPI varied from 92.1% in Udmurtia to 111.4% in Mordovia.

The following industries affected positively on the index rate in Bashkiria: paper and paper products (1.8 times to January-May 2016), vehicles and equipment (128.9%), furniture (125.9%), computers, electronic and optical products (119.4%), textiles (117.0%), electrical equipment, finished metal products, extraction of other minerals (116.1-116.8%), production of chemicals and chemical products, leather and leather goods, beverages (111.1-111.8%), wood processing and wood products (110.6%).

In addition, the increase in output by 3.1-5.5% compared to January-May 2016 was observed in the production of other non-metallic mineral products, other finished products, food products and clothing.

There is a 1.7-fold lagging in production of medicines and materials (to January-May 2016), extraction of metal ores by 11.9%, production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, metallurgical production by 7.2-9, 8%, petroleum products, printing and copying, production of rubber and plastic products, machinery and equipment - by 0.9-1.4%.
