Farmers will be given maximum subsidy for purchasing drones in Bashkiria

UFA, 9 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. The Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkortostan has developed a program of subsidizing farmers who are ready to introduce space technologies and buy drones. The head of the department Ilshat Fazrakhmanov informed about it at the "Results of Space Activities" forum. The subsidy will cover up to 50% of costs, but no more than 2.5 million rubles for each legal entity.

"Farmers are implementing these technologies not very actively so far, so we set the maximum subsidy," Ilshat Fazrakhmanov shared with RBC-Ufa.

He admits a possibility of acquiring drones on the basis of cooperation – by several enterprises.

According to the minister, the introduction of accurate farming will allow monitoring all stages of the process and obtaining up-to-date information, creating three-dimensional electronic maps of fields, carrying out their inventory, estimating work volumes and monitoring the crop condition, forecasting yields and studying the chemical composition of the soil.
