Bashkortostan is actively introducing space technologies

UFA, 9 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. The Republic of Bashkortostan is one of the leaders in Russia in implementing the results of space activities. This was stated at a meeting with the Head of the Region Rustem Khamitov by the Deputy General Director of JSC Russian Space Systems Anatoly Perminov. In Ufa he takes part in the "Space Activities in the Regions of the Russian Federation" Forum.

“As of today introduction of space activity results is going at a fast pace in Bashkortostan - much better, than in other subjects of the Russian Federation. It can be seen that the Head of the Republic is also engaged in this, and the Government pays much attention to it", Anatoly Perminov said.

At the meeting, the prospects of using unmanned aerial vehicles for monitoring the facilities of various sectors of the economy, including the oil and gas industry, introduction of space activities to promote the socio-economic development of the republic were discussed.

"We are attracting space technology in an increasing number of tasks. We talked about transport, and now we are distributing it to agriculture, forest fires - everything related to estimates of large objects. We will carry out such work too", remarked Rustem Khamitov.

Anatoly Perminov said that within the framework of the forum an agreement on cooperation with the Government of the Republic on implementation of space activities results and creation of new intellectual geo-information services had been signed. The parties agreed that on the basis of this document a detailed joint work plan would be prepared.
