Bashkiria continues to strengthen its position in National Investment Climate Rating

UFA, 2 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. Bashkortostan for the third consecutive year improves its position in the National Investment Climate Rating. On June 2 the results of the subjects of the Russian Federation for 2016 were announced at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Bashkortostan entered the group of leaders with the 13th result and having significantly improved its past performance (previously the republic took the 20th and 40th positions). According to the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, the republic made a good leap in formation of the investment climate, having risen by seven points, which testifies to the planned work carried out in the region.

The evaluation was conducted on 45 indicators in four directions: "Regulatory Environment", "Institutions for Business", "Infrastructure and Resources", "Small Business Support". The basis of the National Rating is the opinion of the business community.

Since 2015, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is a traditional platform for presenting the results of the National Investment Climate Rating in the constituent entities of the Federation. During its existence, the National Rating has proved effective in assessing the efforts of the authorities at all levels to improve the business environment in the regions, and its results stimulate investment competition at the regional level, the government of the republic reports.
