UFA, 1 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. Bashkortostan entered the top ten regions according to socio-economic development results. These are the data of the rating of the regional socio-economic situation by RIA "Rating", a part of the state media giant "Russia Today".
At the end of 2016, the republic improved its positions and is now on the eighth place among 85 regions of the country.
The top three includes - Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area - Yugra.
The Moscow region and Tatarstan close the top five.
The sixth and seventh places are taken by Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District and the Leningrad Region.
The Republic of Bashkortostan was on the 10th place of the rating in 2015. In 2016, the republic improved its position by two points and now occupies the eighth place.
The rating of the regions' assessment includes such key indicators as the scale of the economy, its effectiveness, as well as the budget and social sphere.
According to the data provided, the volume of production of goods and services last year in the republic amounted to 1,870.67 billion rubles, consolidated budget - 195.17 billion rubles. The number of employed in the economy exceeded 1.895 million people.
The revenues of the consolidated budget per resident of the republic reached 47.97 thousand rubles.
Investments in fixed assets per each resident of Bashkortostan amounted to 88.71 thousand rubles.
The share of profitable enterprises in the republic reached 79.5 percent last year.
Good indicators were achieved in the social sphere. The ratio of money incomes of the population to the cost of a fixed set of consumer goods and services made 2.2 at the end of 2016.
The unemployment rate was 5.8 percent.
Life expectancy is 71 years. Infant mortality decreased in the region to six percent.
