MS-21 made first test flight in Russia

UFA, 29 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. The Russian civil aircraft MS-21 made its first test flight at the airfield of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant. The Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin informed the President Vladimir Putin about this.
The head of the state congratulated the President of Irkut Corporation, the CEO - general designer of A.S. Yakovlev Experimental Design Bureau Oleg Demchenko, the team of the enterprise-producer and all employees of the industry with this significant event, Kremlin.ru reports.
MS-21 is a short-medium-range passenger aircraft which seats from 150 to 211 people. The project uses the latest developments in the field of aircraft and engine building, on-board equipment and systems. MS-21 will replace the Soviet aircrafts "Tu", "Yak" and "An". The units produced by the Ufa engine-building association are used in the engine of MS-21.
