On May 25, Rustem Khamitov, during a working trip to Belebey, held a meeting of the Public Council on Investment Climate Improvement under the head of Bashkortostan, in which investors - potential residents of the priority development areas (PDA) took part.
The Head of the Region noted that the issue of single-industry town development was paid great attention at the federal level. The corresponding program was approved. For each single-industry, target indicators for the volume of investments, creation of jobs, improvement of the urban environment were set.
Bashkortostan is actively involved in this process. In the republic there are two priority development areas - Kumertau and Belebey, which effectively cooperate with the Mono-City Development Fund.
The Head of the Republic drew attention of the heads of municipalities to the need not only to attract investors, but also to improve and modernize the infrastructure.
Sergei Novikov, the Minister of Economic Development RB, presented the main measures for the development of the single-industry territories of the region - Belebey, Kumertau, Neftekamsk, Beloretsk, Uchaly and Blagoveshchensk. Today, they are home to one-tenth of the population of our republic.
A total of 47 investment projects for the amount of 64.5 billion rubles are being realized in the territory of single-industry entities. Within six years it is planned to create more than 7 thousand jobs. Annually, there is an increase in industrial production, and in some single-industry cities it is ahead of the average republican level.
Speaking about the development of single-industry cities, the Head of the Region called on "to approach seriously to modernization of landmark objects." These territories should receive priority in the repair of health care, culture, education facilities.
During the meeting the heads of Neftekamsk, Beloretsk, Blagoveshnsk and Uchaly districts of the republic delivered reports. They talked about the main activities to attract investment, in particular, the implementation of integrated investment plans, interaction with the Mono-City Development Fund, the modernization of urban infrastructure elements, landscaping, as well as key projects planned for implementation.
Summing up the meeting, the Head of Bashkortostan noted that the republic was heading in the right direction in terms of attracting investments and developing single-industry towns.
