Bashkiria intends to expand cooperation with Germany

UFA, 19 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. A delegation of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Yekaterinburg is paying an official visit to Bashkortostan. The delegation is headed by the German Consul General in Yekaterinburg, Stefan Kail. The main purpose of the visit is to expand cooperation in the sphere of economy, education and culture.

The day before a meeting of the German delegation with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government - Minister of Land and Property Relations of Bashkortostan Evgeniy Guriev was held. It was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development RB, the representative office of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ufa, and the Development Corporation of Bashkortostan.

The German side was provided with detailed information on Bashkortostan, including the investment climate in the region, current tax incentives for investors and measures of state support for residents in the priority development areas within the single-industry cities of Belebey and Kumertau.

The parties discussed current trends in the development of the Russian-German relations and the most promising areas of economic cooperation between Bashkortostan and Germany. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development RB.

Today a meeting with teachers and students of Bashkir State University is planned, participation in solemn awarding of winners and prize-winners of the Gagarin Cup Olympiad, as well as negotiations in the administration of Ufa.

At the end of the visit, on May 20 the delegation will visit the school No. 103 and the German Language and Culture Study Centre "Hallo Deutsch".
