Rustem Khamitov met with JSC Russian Export Centre CEO Peter Fradkov

UFA, 12 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. On May 11, in the House of the Republic, the Head of Bashkortostan, Rustem Khamitov, met with Peter Fradkov, the CEO of JSC Russian Export Centre, who takes part in a visiting session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The prospects of cooperation and development of export activities of regional enterprises were discussed there.

The Russian Export Centre is a specialized organization working with exporters on the "one-stop-shop" principle in the field of financial and non-financial support measures, including through interaction with relevant ministries and agencies involved in the development of foreign economic activity of the Russian Federation.

Peter Fradkov noted that the republican enterprises had a great export potential. First of all, it concerns such fast-growing industries as engineering and agriculture. At present, Bashkortostan ranks eighth among the regions of Russia in terms of export volumes.

32 projects have already been implemented in Bashkortostan together with the Russian Export Centre, as well as a training program, within the framework of which 43 potential exporters representing small and medium-sized businesses were trained.

In the near future an Agreement on Cooperation between the Government of Bashkortostan and JSC Russian Export Centre will be signed. Also, the Russian Export Centre plans to open its regional branch in the republic in the future.
