Bashkortostan can enter Top 10 of Russian Investing Rating - ASI

UFA, 12 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. Bashkortostan, most likely, will enter the first ten of the National Investment Climate Rating in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in 2017. This was stated by the corporate director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) Elena Myakotnikova in her speech at the session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum held yesterday in Ufa. Officially, the rating will be presented at the St. Petersburg Forum, which will be held from June 1 to 3, RBC-Ufa reports .

"The Republic of Bashkortostan has done a great job to improve its business environment", Elena Myakotnikova told at a plenary session. "Tentatively, Bashkiria improved its position by half and reached the top ten of the rating. We are still preparing the final results". Due to the fact that the official rating has not yet been officially presented, the Deputy Prime Minister Yevgeny Guryev did not comment on this information, confining himself to the phrase "We expect to take a worthy position", but he mentioned that "the Head of Bashkiria has set a task to enter the top ten".

The National Investment Climate Rating is a joint project of four business associations (RUIE, CCI, Delovaya Rossiya and OPORA Russia) and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. It was first made in 2015 on the personal request of Vladimir Putin. The rating allows identifying best practices and facilitating their dissemination in other regions.
