More than half of sole traders are engaged in trade and repair of vehicles in Bashkiria

UFA, 26 April 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. In the course of continuous federal statistical observation of small and medium-sized business entities activities, it was found out that more than one third of them operate in wholesale and retail trade, repair of vehicles, motorcycles, household products and personal items. Real estate, rental and services are handled by 21% of small and medium-sized enterprises, and construction - by 14.5%. 10.1% of small and medium-sized enterprises are employed in the manufacturing sector, and 4.2% in the agricultural sector. These figures were given by Ilyuza Lavreshina, the head of the department of corporate statistics of Bashkortostan Statistics Agency.
According to her, sole tradership has become most widespread also in the sphere of trade. More than half of sole traders are engaged in wholesale and retail trade, repair of vehicles, motorcycles, household products and personal items, 13.5% - in operations with real estate, leasing and provision of services, 7.1% of sole traders work in agriculture, 6 % - in manufacturing industries.
More than 415,000 people work in the sphere of small and medium-sized businesses, or one in four of the employed in the economy, including 362,000 in the small business. Receipts from marketing goods and services are estimated at 1107 billion rubles, including 912 billion rubles in small business. Fixed assets of more than 210 billion rubles were used for entrepreneurial activities (as of the end of 2015). 41 billion rubles were allocated for creation and reproduction of fixed assets.
Small and medium-sized enterprises of Bashkortostan provide the third place in terms of investments in fixed assets, the fourth - in number of entities, number of substituted jobs, fixed assets, the fifth - in terms of proceeds from sale of goods in Volga Federal District. The region is the leader in terms of sole traders number, and ranks second in revenues.
The final results of continuous monitoring of small and medium-sized businesses by types of economic activity, municipal districts and city districts will be published in June 2017. All information will be posted on the Rosstat website and on the Bashkortostan Statistics Agency website.
