Bashkortostan should achieve growth in all macroeconomic indicators - Government

UFA, 20 April 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. Our republic should reach this year positive macroeconomic indicators. This was stated by the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Rustem Mardanov in his speech to the deputies of the State Assembly - Kurultay RB.

"It is necessary to ensure growth in industry and retail trade with a rate of not less than 2.1 percent, in agriculture - 2.6 percent. The level of registered unemployment should be within the limits of not more than 1.2 percent", said Rustem Mardanov. “Additional measures to attract federal support through the Industrial Development Fund should be taken in the field of industrial production. On the basis of the adopted republican law a Foundation for Industry Development will be created in Bashkortostan this year".

The strategic plan for the agroindustrial complex development provides a significant increase in agricultural production for 2017. In 2017, the Bashkir agrarians plan to harvest 3.5 million tons of grain, 1.7 million tons of potatoes and vegetables, 1.4 million tons of sugar beet and about 200,000 tons of sunflower.

It is planned to increase grain harvest in the region to 4.2 million tons by 2020.

On April 20, in the State Assembly - Kurultay RB, the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov presented a report of the Government RB on the results of work in 2016.
