Rustem Khamitov took part in meeting of Presidium of Presidential Council on priority projects

On April 18, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov took part in a meeting of the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and Priority Projects, which was held as a videoconference by the Chairman of the Government of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.

During the meeting, amendments and additions to the priority projects "Safe and quality roads", "Formation of a comfortable urban environment" and "Ensuring quality of housing and utility services" were discussed.

Dmitry Medvedev said that this year within the framework of the "Safe and quality roads" project about 5 thousand km of roads would be built, reconstructed and repaired, more than one thousand accident clusters would be liquidated. Regions are allocated funds in the amount of 30 billion rubles for these purposes.

The Prime Minister stressed that the regions should carefully approach to planning and prepare their own programs for integrated development.

It is necessary to hold appropriate biddings and provide feedback from the public on projects related to the comfortable urban environment formation and improving housing and communal services quality.

The Prime Minister noted that one of the main issues in housing and utilities sector remains the issue of attracting private investments.

Bashkortostan is included in the list of regions where the "Safe and quality roads" priority project will be implemented. The Program for the comprehensive development of the transport infrastructure of the Ufa agglomeration was developed and approved. The total length of the motor roads included in the project is about 1,318 km. It is provided an annual allocation of funds from the federal budget in the amount of 1 billion rubles for the period until 2025 with co-financing with the republican budgetary funds and the local budgets in the amount of 1 billion rubles. The total amount of funds needed to implement the program is 18 billion rubles.

To subsidize the priority project "Formation of the comfortable urban environment" Bashkortostan is allocated from the federal budget 856.6 million rubles in 2017, co-financing from the republican budget should amount to 175.5 million rubles. 23 cities of the republic, including Ufa, Belebey, Kumertau, Beloretsk, Neftekamsk, Uchaly and Blagoveshchensk will take part in the project on formation of the modern urban environment.
