Ecological tourism to be further developed in Bashkortostan during Year of Environment

UFA, 12 April 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. In Bashkortostan, in the Year of Environment ecological tourism should receive a new impetus for its development, said the Minister of Nature Management and Environment of the region, Ildar Khadyev. According to him, the republic has a unique natural heritage and along with its preservation there is an equally important task of developing these territories.
Ecological tourism in Bashkortostan is represented in the natural parks "Iremel", "Muradymovskoe Gorge". Annually more than 30 thousand tourists-speleologists, as well as fans of mountain peaks go its ecological routes and tracks. A new eco-cultural route based on the folk Bashkir epic "Ural-Batyr" in the territory of the natural park "Iremel" has acquired popularity in the tourist environment. In the year of the 100th anniversary of the Russian reserve system it is planned to expand specially protected natural areas in the republic. There are works on creation of the «Zilim» natural park, one of the natural objects of the region will be awarded a status of a geopark under the auspices of UNESCO.
"Ecological tourism is consistent with the goals of preserving the natural and cultural heritage, excluding negative anthropogenic impact on ecosystems," Sergei Donskoi, the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia marked at a meeting of the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and Priority Projects.
According to the Ministry of Ecology RB, the issue of specially protected natural areas and ecological tourism development will be key at the International Ecological Forum "Ecology. Technologies. Life", which will be held in Ufa from June 6 to 8. Leading experts of the region, representatives of the subjects of the Russian Federation, scientific and public figures will discuss the state of the Russian reserve system, existing trends and prospects.
