Economically active population of Bashkiria exceeds 1.9 million people

UFA, 11 April 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The number of economically active population of the republic exceeds 1.956 million people. These are the data of sample labour force surveys on average for December 2016-February-2017.

In accordance with the standards of the International Labour Organization, the number of unemployed is 118.1 thousand people in Bashkortostan. The level of total unemployment is equal to six percent, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection RB stated.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, since the beginning of 2017 more than 11,7 thousand inhabitants of the region have been registered as unemployed. By the end of March, the level of registered unemployment was 1.21 percent.

The number of applications to the republican employment service for assistance in finding a suitable job exceeded 20 thousand for the first three months of this year. Almost 10.5 thousand people applied to the labour exchange for vocational guidance.
