Airlines received newsletter about possible charter flights suspension to Turkey

UFA, 11 April 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. Russian airlines have received a message from Rosaviatsia about a possible suspension of charter flights to Turkey. The reason is a complicated internal political situation in the country. This is reported by the "Prime" agency.
Charters between the countries stopped for nine months after the Turkish fighter shot down the Russian Su-24 in Syria in November 2015. In the summer of 2016, the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sent a letter of apology to Vladimir Putin for the incident. On June 30, the President of Russia signed a decree abolishing the ban on charters. The first charter took off on September 2.
On the night of April 7, 2017, the United States attacked the airfield of Shayrat in Syria as a response to a chemical attack in the province of Idlib, the responsibility for which the United States assigned to the Syrian authorities. The military actions were supported in several European countries, including Turkey. At the same time, the Turkish Foreign Minister called on Russia to stop supporting the Syrian President Bashar Assad and accused the Russian Federation of insufficient actions for peace in the country in crisis.
