Top-3 regions where Bashkiria residents prefer to work

UFA, 5 April 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The Bashkortostan Statistics Agency named the regions where the residents of the republic prefer to work.
In 2016, 148.1 thousand Bashkortostan residents worked in other regions of the country. In percentage terms this is 7.8% of the total number of the employed population of the republic. 101.2 thousand residents of Bashkortostan went to the Tyumen region, which is 68.3% of the number of people who left the region for work and 30.8% of the number of people who came to work in the Tyumen region.
Nine thousand people departed for Chelyabinsk region last year, 7.2 thousand people for Moscow.
The main reasons for labour migration were lack of jobs at the place of permanent residence and a higher level of wages in the regions of destination.
In general, in the country in 2016, 2668.7 thousand people went to work outside their region. This is 3.7% of the employed population of Russia.
According to statistics, the share of the employed population working outside their region was the most significant in the Moscow Region (18.1%), the Republic of Adygea (17.1%), the Leningrad Region (15.0%), the Chuvash Republic (13.4% %), the Republic of Kalmykia (12.5%), the Jewish Autonomous Region (11.9%), the Tula Region (9.9%) and the Republic of Mari El (9.6%).
The labour force survey is conducted on the basis of a sampling method of observation by interviewing people at the place of permanent residence at the age of 15 to 72 years and covering all regions of the Russian Federation.
