Kumertau Helicopter Plant is contracted until 2019

UFA, 31 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Artem Valiev/. Contracts for supply of helicopters manufactured in Kumertau at KumAPP plant are concluded for two years ahead, until 2019. The CEO of the enterprise Yury Pustovgarov told journalists about it on March 30.

"Today the enterprise has stable economy", Yury Pustovgarov said. “We have achieved such efficiency, which allows receiving an operating profit. The enterprise confidently plans its activities at least until 2020".

In 2008, the plant merged with Russian Helicopters Holding in a pre-bankruptcy state with a debt burden of 15 billion rubles. Employees were not paid wages for eight months. The federal holding has paid off its debts, and today KumAPP's main business has reached a profitable level, and there is an operating profit. Meanwhile, the enterprise is not yet fully loaded.

"The Ka-226 platform, a basis of the KumAPP model range, is very demanded in Russia and all over the world", said Andrey Boginsky, the General Director of the Russian Helicopters Holding. "We see great prospects for the development of this platform".
