Meat and egg production increased in Bashkiria
UFA, 30 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. In the first two months of this year, Bashkortostan produced 54.5 thousand tons of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight, as well as 160.6 million eggs. The growth was 8.6 and 4 percent, respectively.
Production of milk remained at the level of 2016 and amounted to 214 thousand tons. These are the data of monitoring the agriculture development in the region.
As reported by the Bashinform News Agency, in 2016 the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter (in live weight) in all categories of farms in Bashkortostan reached 397.4 thousand tons (+0.9 percent to the level of 2015).
The production of eggs in the region exceeded 1,123 billion pieces by the end of last year. This is 19.7 percent more than in 2015.
Our republic retains leadership in growth of egg production in Russia. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the main increase in egg production last year was received in Bashkortostan, as well as in the Rostov, Voronezh, Yaroslavl and Belgorod regions.
