Five Bashkir sanatoriums entered Top-100 health resorts in investment attractiveness in Russia

UFA, 30 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. The Association for Health Tourism and RAEX rating agency presented a rating of investment attractiveness of "Top 100 Russian health resorts".
Experts note that health resorts are outstripping many sectors of the economy in development rate. The total proceeds of the entities involved in the rating for 2015 amounted to about 35.2 billion rubles (27.5 percent of the total Russian indicator) and increased by 15.2 percent in 2015, compared to 12.7 percent among the largest companies in Russia from RAEX-600 rating and 11, 2 percent of an average Russian sanatorium. The EBIT profitability of the sanatoria of the Top 100 is just over 1 percent. This modest indicator is much better than negative figures observed in the industry as a whole, analysts say.
The debt load of the majority of participants is low: the average ratio of debt to revenue does not exceed 7.5 percent. The occupancy level of "typical" health resorts from the rating is 73%. The labour productivity of an average participant of the Top-100 is still low: the revenue per employee is a little over 1 million rubles a year (six times lower than in the Russian large business).
The Bashkir sanatorium "Yangan-Tau" takes the first place in the rating of investment attractiveness. "Krasnouzolsk" is in the 16th,"Zelenaya Roscha" takes the 41st,"Yumatovo" - 54th, "Yakty-Kul" the 60th. As noted in the study, the Top 100 is dominated by sanatoriums from non-resort regions (Bashkortostan, Tatarstan) or regions only recently won recognition as all-Russian resorts (Altai Territory).
In the top 10 health resorts on business effectiveness the "Yangan-Tau" is again on the first place, and on the fifth - in the Top-10 on the scale of business. The "Yumatovo" sanatorium enters the Top-10 on the investment potential taking the sixth line in the list.
In general, following the results of 2015, seven Bashkir health resorts showed a profitability of 5.2 percent (five resorts of the Altai Territory have the best profitability - 15.2 percent, five health resorts of Crimea have the worst - minus 89 percent). Revenue from sales amounted to more than 3.68 million rubles, the share in total revenue - 10.5 percent. The occupancy was 86.6 percent.
