Designed in Bashkiria "flying taxis" will accelerate to 560 km per hour

UFA, 30 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Artem Valiev/. The small-sized passenger helicopter Rotor-fly, which is designed and manufactured in the Kuyurgazy district of Bashkortostan, has not yet received serial certification of airworthiness. This does not allow launching mass production of such passenger helicopters, the correspondent of the Bashinform News Agency reports.
The demand for light helicopters may be conditioned by their usability in terms of commercial exploitation. In particular, light helicopters are refueled with conventional motor gasoline, are attractive for air transportation as helicopter taxi.
The Rotor-fly helicopters have flight certificates for single models. An aircraft-type certificate for mass production has not yet been received. Meanwhile, the designers who created Rotor-fly are already developing a high-speed small-sized helicopter on its basis. If the tests are successful, the modernized Rotor-fly will be able to develop a horizontal speed of up to 560 km per hour.
Recall that in September 2016, the production facilities of helicopters in Kuyurgazy district were visited by the head of Bashkiria Rustem Khamitov.
