Bashkiria will make bulk delivery of helicopters to India

UFA, 30 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Artem Valiev/. The registration of a joint Russian-Indian helicopter production facility began in Russia. This was announced to journalists by the general director of the Russian Helicopters Holding Andrei Boginsky.

According to the agreement, the delivery of 200 helicopters is supposed. The basis of the agreement is models on the Ka-226 platform manufactured in Kumertau at KumAPP. This will allow loading the enterprise that is not yet operating at full capacity.

"Other products of the plant - Ka-27, Ka-32 helicopters - also find their customers abroad", Boginsky marked. "China expresses great interest in them. Ka-32 helicopters are in great demand in the field of fire extinguishing".

According to the general director of Russian Helicopters, the main task at KumAPP is development of the product line, as well as realization of the modernization potential of the Ka-226 and Ka-32 helicopters.
