Head of Bashkortostan: "We have acquired powerful ally represented by Rosneft"

UFA, 15 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. "We have acquired a powerful ally represented by Rosneft. This global company came to our republic. These are new opportunities and new markets for us. Our relations are increasingly developing", said the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov in his interview with the "Expert-Ural" magazine.

The Head of the Region stressed that the republic together with the company was forming a program to stimulate Rosneft purchases of equipment, machines, mechanisms produced in the republic. Here it is produced almost everything that accompanies oil production.

"We can become a competence centre for such production. We are considering a possibility of creating a fleet for hydraulic fracturing in the republic", Rustem Khamitov marked. According to him, so far these technologies are based on imported equipment, however, the republic has enough experience and knowledge to develop and produce this equipment in cooperation with enterprises from other subjects of the Russian Federation. Another positive trend is return of assets by Bashneft.

"I'm talking about the oilfield services company Targin, which will have now orders from Rosneft. Almost 20 thousand people work there. This is a solution of a huge problem for us", the Head of the Republic said.

As for Rosneft’s charitable activity, its volume will be no less in 2017 than in 2015 and 2016. Rustem Khamitov stressed that "relations with the top management are positive. We are in constant contact: every week we correspond with each other, make calls and discuss the situation. We are reliable partners for Rosneft. We promptly resolve the issues that arise".
