Unemployed number decreased in Bashkiria

UFA, 14 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. In Bashkortostan, the number of unemployed according to the International Labour Organization methodology exceeds 115 thousand people. A year ago, there were more than 122,000 unemployed in the republic.

These are the results of the latest labour force survey on average for November 2016-January-2017, conducted by the Federal State Statistics Service.

The level of total unemployment is 5.7 percent of the economically active population of the republic.

The number of employed population of Bashkortostan exceeds 1.892 million people. The employment rate is 63 percent, the Ministry of Labour of the region reported.

As Bashinform News Agency informed, the number of unemployed registered in the employment centres of the region was almost 24.3 thousand people by March 1.

Since the beginning of the year, about 7,3 thousand people of the republic have received a status of the unemployed. This is a quarter less than in January-February 2016 (9.7 thousand people).
