Ufa is leading in investment to large and medium-sized businesses

UFA, 28 February 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. The capital of Bashkortostan is in the top of megacities rating on investment to fixed assets of large and medium-sized enterprises. At the end of 2016 the volume of investments amounted to 152 billion rubles. The share of private investors was more than 90 percent. These data are submitted by the Standard & Poor's international rating agency.

The Ufa Administration believes that work should be oriented on projects based on state and municipal-private partnership. "Now there are 14 such projects under development. The aim is to speed up this work and increase the number of projects. The municipality has established a mechanism of investment projects on the "one contact" principle. In the future, it will be improved", the Ufa Administration reports.

Another priority is development of small and medium-sized businesses. In 2016, about 52 thousand small and medium-sized businesses were registered in Ufa, which provided employment for 25 percent of the able-bodied population of the city. Tax revenues from the gross income of small and medium-sized enterprises accounted for 12 percent of the city budget. Entrepreneurs are supported in accordance with the municipal program.
