Rustem Khamitov took part in plenary session of "Sochi-2017" Investment Forum

UFA, 28 February 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. The central event of the first day of the "Sochi-2017" Russian Investment Forum was a plenary session "Investing in the Russian Regions: Regional Policy Priorities", where the Prime Minister of the Government Dmitry Medvedev delivered a speech. The session was attended by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov.
Dmitry Medvedev marked in his speech that economic growth increase required intensive development of the regions largely due to new investments. The Government Integrated Action Plan for the period from 2017 to 2025 has been developed to achieve these objectives. It provides a set of measures aimed at ensuring stability of business, efficient use of human resources, development of "digital economy", improvement of state standards, further streamlining of the tax system.
According to Dmitry Medvedev, the regions should be actively engaged in attracting investments. To do this, each territory should identify its own points of growth, and infrastructure projects decisive for the development of the region should receive guaranteed funding.
Dmitry Medvedev said that since 2018 the regions would be entitled to leave a part of capital gains tax in local budgets. This will give more opportunities for construction of new housing, roads, schools, hospitals and other social facilities.
The delegation of Bashkortostan headed by Rustem Khamitov also participated in the meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich with the members of the Innovative Regions Association of Russia, panel discussions and round tables devoted to key issues of socio-economic development.
Within the framework of the investment forum a ceremony awarding the winners of the All-Russian competition of projects in the field of social entrepreneurship "Best Social Project of the Year - 2016" was held. The Head of the Bashkortostan Centre for Social Innovation Irina Abramova was awarded a diploma in the special nomination of the Ministry of Economic Development RF "Best Practice of Social Innovation Centre Activity".
