Small enterprises turnover was 1.77 trillion rubles in Bashkortostan in 2016

UFA, 21 February 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. The State Committee RB for Entrepreneurship and Tourism summed up the year results. According to the data announced at the board of the committee, as of January 1, 2017 in the republic there were more than 131 thousand business entities (of which 2,677 small businesses, 41934 microenterprises, 367 medium-sized enterprises, 86103 sole traders). Their number increased to 4330 entities for a year. "Our challenge in 2017 is to have an increase by 15 thousand entrepreneurs", said the head of the department Vyacheslav Gilyazitdinov.

The turnover of small and medium-sized enterprises amounted to 1 trillion 77 billion rubles in 2016 (turnover of small enterprises, micro enterprises and sole traders - 1 trillion 5 billion rubles, or 35.5 percent of the total turnover of the Bashkortostan Republic). According to this index the republic took the 2nd place in the Volga Federal District and the 8th place in the Russian Federation. "Total, there are just nine regions with turnover over trillion. In 2017 we should reach a turnover of 1 trillion 200 billion rubles", Gilyazitdinov specified.

Employees of small and medium-sized enterprises are more than 498,000 people - 31.2 percent of all employed. Since 2013, small businesses provide one quarter of the gross regional product. Proceeds from the small business aggregate income tax to the republican budget amounted to 6.6 billion rubles (+6 percent) for the year.
