There are more than 493 thousand cars in Ufa

UFA, 14 February 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. According to the latest data 493 thousand vehicles are registered in Ufa. In other words, about every second resident has his own car.

More than 80 percent of registered vehicles in Ufa are passenger cars. And for the past 15 years their number has doubled.

Two years ago, development of transport strategy was launched in Ufa. The town planning documentation and the existing road network were analyzed. Data on traffic management and congestion of road sections, traffic light facilities, surface passenger transport, organization of pedestrian traffic in the city were collected. The next stage was verification of the Ufa transport model with mathematical modeling methods.

The transport strategy aims not only at improving the road traffic situation in the city, but also at making cleaner the environment.

The next step is to create in Ufa a specialized municipal structure for traffic management. It will consist of specialists from various relevant departments and enterprises.
