More than 86 percent of Bashkiria residents have broadband Internet access

UFA, 13 February 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. In Bashkortostan, a broadband Internet access is available to residents of nearly 1,800 settlements, where more than 86 percent of the population live.
To date about 70 percent of the republican residents can use the services of the broadband Internet access from at least two service providers. The press service of Bashkortostan State Committee for Information Technology and "Open Republic" System Operation shared with Bashinform News Agency.
For those who do not have their own Internet access, specially created public access centres operate. Currently, there are 59 such centres in the region.
They are equipped with workstations with all necessary equipment. Also, consultants are always ready to assist users.
It is planned to organize remote training of the unemployed at the centres network.
According to experts, it will reduce one-half the cost of training courses and increase the number of students.
