Bashkiria mortgage growth rate significantly exceeds national average

UFA, 10 February 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. In Bashkortostan, more than 30 thousand residential mortgage loans in the amount of 43.6 billion rubles were issued in the past year. In comparison with 2015 the number of loans in the region increased by 1.3 times, the amount of loans – by 1.4 times.
As the executive manager of the National Bank Branch in Bashkortostan Marat Kashapov reported at a press-conference, the mortgage growth rate in the republic markedly exceeded the national average rate.
Thus, as a whole across the country the number of loans increased over the year by 22.4 percent, the volume of loans - by 26.8 percent.
"Today, the debt on mortgage loans is 115.6 billion rubles in Bashkortostan. In other words, it is the amount of debt to the banks, which now our citizens have", explained Marat Kashapov.
According to him, largely due to mortgage loans the growth of housing construction is provided in the region in the background of the general recession in the industry.
"It is in housing we were able to ensure keeping up to the level of 2015 and in the last year", he added.
As the head of the National Bank in Bashkortostan marked, arrears on mortgages in the total amount of individuals debt to banks were low and amounted to 1.1 percent in the past year against the national average of 1.6 percent.
