Bank deposits were analyzed in Bashkiria

UFA, 10 February 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. In 2016, residents of the republic tried to stick to savings behavior, the executive manager of the National Bank Branch in Bashkortostan Ural Main Department of the Bank of Russia Marat Kashapov informed.

"If in previous years a consumer behavior model was dominated among the population, then the savings model became increasingly important in the last and a half year", said at a press conference, Marat Kashapov. “This trend affected the increase in volume of individual deposits, with a growth by 10 percent over 2016. Now banks attracted 337 billion rubles from individuals in the republic".

In Russia annual growth was 4.5 percent on average. As of January 1, 2017, bank deposits of Russians reached 24 303,4 billion rubles.

"It is characteristic for our region that we do not have a high share of foreign currency deposits. If the national average is 24 percent, then we have a total of 12 percent. This figure, roughly corresponds to the previous years", said the executive manager of the National Bank Branch RB.
