Ufa International Airport is best in Russia

UFA, 9 February 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The Ufa International Airport for the second consecutive year is the best in Russia among the airports with passenger traffic up to 4 million people a year. Results of experts and passengers voting were announced at the awarding ceremony of the "Air Gates of Russia".

The solemn ceremony of awarding winners of the industry took place in Moscow in the framework of the business program of the National Aviation Infrastructure Show NAIS-2017 on February 8.

Furthermore, the Ufa International Airport again received the highest rating of passengers, having won the online voting in a group of airports with passenger traffic of more than 1 million people.

The Annual Award "Air Gates of Russia" is established by the NAIS organizing committee and the Federal Air Transport Agency. The results are formed by a collective decision of the expert council, as well as on the basis of Internet voting of passengers. Evaluation of air hubs is carried out according to criteria reflecting the work of airport terminals and services, such as quality of passenger service and airlines operating performance, transport (aviation) safety, non-aeronautical revenues, environmental and social responsibility, the press-service of the air hub informs.

Last year, the Ufa International Airport received the first all-Russian recognition, having won major industry awards. The experts of the "Air Gates of Russia" recognized Ufa airport as the best in the country in two categories: according to experts and passengers voting.

It was named the best airport of the year at the "Wings of Russia-2015" aviation award.

According to the rating compiled by the "AviaPort" agency the Ufa Airport received four stars out of five for quality of terminal infrastructure and passenger services.
